Our P. T. A.
                                          PTA Autumn 2017 Newsletter

We are a registered charity run by parents and teachers of the School. We fundraise by organising events to help provide extra facilities to benefit the children and we organise social events to help promote a friendly environment at the school.

   
In 2016-17, the PTA raised over £11500 and provided funds for the Daily Mile running track, the Defibrillator for vital First Aid, tickets for all classes to visit the Literature Festival, gifts for Year 6 leavers, donations to restock the School Libraries, coach travel for school trips and Charitable donations.

There will be lots of fun PTA organised fundraising events
from September 2017 to Summer 2018

including:-

School Discos, Adult and Family Quizzes, Firework Night,
Christmas Fayre, Sponsored Event, Race Night,
Summer Fayre & Motor Show, Fun Day
, .... and more!

How does the P.T.A. fundraise ?
Fundraising is achieved through various events run throughout the year at school, and in the past have included:
new parent welcome social, shopping evenings, discos, children's artwork Christmas gifts and cards, fun days, Firework night, race night, quiz night, Christmas fayre, sponsored event, family bingo, family beetle drive, summer fayre & motor show.
  
What has the P.T.A. provided for the school ?
During 2016-17, the P.T.A. raised funds to provide: the Daily Mile running track, the Defibrillator for vital First Aid, tickets for all classes to visit the Literature Festival, gifts for Year 6 leavers, donations to restock the School Libraries, coach travel for school trips and Charitable donations.
The P.T.A. have raised funds for many extras for the school and the children over the years including: sets laptops in lockable recharging trolleys for both the Juniors and the Infants, iPads and other tablets in every classroom, science kits to aid practical investigations for every year group, sound systems and projectors & screens for both halls, handwriting/reading resources, school rugby kit, wet play games for all classes, subsidised coach travel for all trips, bicycle pods, house cups and medals, first aid course for all year 6 pupils, books for both libraries, new staging, sports equipment for both departments, fold-up dining tables for infant hall, nature area re-vamp, outdoor play facilities and friendship tables in both playgrounds, all weather play surface...... and more!

How can I help the P.T.A. and the School ?
The P.T.A. depends on the support and involvement of parents to enable its’ events to run successfully. We are very lucky at Warden Hill because of the fantastic support we get at our events and this enables us to make a real difference.
