Computing Golden Rules

We have a computer network in school and we use laptops, ipads and other devices for classroom teaching which means that children have access to emails and the Internet. This is always authorised by staff and all incoming information is filtered to ensure, as far as is possible, that the children do not come across any inappropriate material.

The children also have a responsibility to use the network and the equipment properly. All children in our school must (with the help of their responsible adult) read and agree to an 'Acceptable Use Policy'. We have compiled our 'Computing Golden Rules' for EYFS and Key Stages 1 and 2, which make up our Acceptable Use Policy for the children in our school. All children must confirm that they have read, understood and will keep to this agreement.

The rules are there to protect the children and our computer system. Parents/Carers are asked to read through the rules with their child so that he/she understands what they, and the parents/carers, are agreeing to.

Please select the Key Stage your child is currently in (you will need to do this for each child you have in our school and you will be reminded to do this at the beginning of every year). Without this agreement, your child will not be allowed to use the school's computing resources.
