Coronavirus Update Letter [pdf]

Breakfast and After School Club (WHASC) will be operating door drop off and collection. When you are collecting and dropping off your children we will be asking that you do not enter the school building.

Effective from tomorrow morning to avoid any large gathering, please note that all infant children are able to go straight into their classrooms from the infant playground from 8.45am.

Please note that effective from today the following are cancelled until further notice:

  • All after school activities (teacher led clubs, all sports fixtures, external clubs)
  • Year 4 swimming (Wednesdays)
  • All merit mark assemblies
  • Walking Bus
  • Class Assemblies
  • Any trips organised this term

Given the current climate and changing circumstances regarding the Coronavirus at the moment, we are putting in place some additional measures as follows.

  • In respect of class assemblies: parents will not be invited to watch the assembly, however assemblies will be videoed and uploaded for parents to watch at a later date.
  • If you are a parent helper coming into school, we would respectfully ask you not to come in should there be anybody in your family that are self- isolating at home.
  • Finally, we would politely ask that you do not ask to use the toilet on school site.
  • School work at home – We appreciate that as parents you are concerned that your child will still be able to complete work should they be off school.  Teachers are busy trying to ensure there are adequate resources on the website relating to each year group detailing work that can be done at home.  That being said at the present time, teachers are still having to plan lessons and mark work for their ongoing lessons and we therefore ask for your patience and understanding in this area.
