Harvest Festival Assembly

This morning we celebrated our annual harvest assembly. This year, it was led superbly by our newly elected house captains, alongside our school council.
We welcomed Reverend Lauren Gate and Sarah Bamford from the Lakeside community project who were enormously grateful and thankful for the contributions of Warden Hill families that will go to support those in need.
Thank you for all your donations!

YR Y1 The Wind in the Willows

This year we have booked for our Reception and Year 1 children to visit the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham to watch a performance of The Wind in the Willows. It is a beautiful festive adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s much loved classic by award winning theatre company Box Tale Soup, Wind in the Willows features handmade puppets, with original music and songs.
Year 1 Show and Tell

Each week every child from one house will have the opportunity to show and talk about something special that they can bring in from home. (It should not be fragile or precious.)
We would like your child to be able to talk for up to a couple of minutes about their chosen object / memory etc. They can show it while talking, but should not read a prepared text. We are trying to encourage the development of their oracy skills (the ability to express oneself fluently and grammatically in speech). It would really help them to practice at home before the day.
Thank you for your support,
Mr Bailey, Ms Scarrett and Miss Rand
