In what was likely to be our final girls’ football game of the year, the Warden Hill team saved their best performance for last. Facing a Springbank team who were unbeaten to this point, the girls demonstrated their quality, competitiveness, skill and confidence against an excellent side. A brace from Evie and another from Amber put us 3-0 up at half time, before Evie completed her hat-trick and SPA scored a consolation goal as the game ended 4-1.
This was the best opposition the team had faced since the cup finals phase before Christmas and really demonstrated the progress they’ve made as a team.
They finish the group with 3 wins out of 4 games!
