Year 2 Trip: Nature in Art
12 June @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Year 2 Trip – Nature in Art Wednesday 12th June
We are excited to let you know that we have booked a trip to Nature In Art to enhance the children’s learning and skills in Art as well as their knowledge in Science linked to our unit on Living Things and their Habitats.
About the trip
Nature In Art is a fantastic museum in Twigworth dedicated to art inspired by nature and is complete with a purpose built education centre. During the day, the children will have the opportunity to take part in three activities that include print making with Poly block, making wire sculptures and finally a tour of the museum and grounds to explore the sculptures, paintings and glassware of various artists.
School uniform will not be required for the trip. Instead, children should wear old clothes and trainers as they may get dirty, especially during the art activities.
Required for the day:
- A packed lunch (no cans, glass or fizzy drinks please)
- A healthy snack
- Plenty or water
- A coat
- Sun cream and a hat, if the weather is particularly warm.
- Outdoor shoes/ trainers (no wellies please), trousers/ leggings and long sleeved t-shirt as children will need their arms and legs covered when exploring the museum grounds.
We are asking parents to make a voluntary contribution of £10.00 towards the cost of the visit. It would be impossible to fund the trip out of school money, therefore if insufficient voluntary contributions are raised, it may have to be cancelled. All payments can be made through the ParentPay system. Please make sure that you provide your consent by ticking the appropriate box. Parental consent is necessary for your child to attend this trip and should be made by Friday 24th May.
