Year 4 Ski Trip

Y4 Ski Trip July 2022 – Letter to Parents

Dear Parents,

Our Year 4 children have been given an exciting opportunity to visit Gloucester Ski and Snowboard Centre this summer as part of our Outdoor Adventurous Activities unit in PE. We have decided to incorporate this into our sleepover day on Friday 8^th July. The cost of the trip includes three activities and the coach hire. This will be £15 per person.

As this is on the same day as our sleepover, the plan will go ahead that the children will bring in their belongings (a final list of what is needed for the sleepover will be sent out in the next few days) at the normal time in the morning, ready for the evening, and will leave these in school during the day.

During the trip, the children will be involved in the following activities:

• Skiing
• Tubing

Required on the day:

• It is essential that all of the children wear long trousers and long sleeves
• They must also have gloves
• They can also pack a change of clothes for their return to school in preparation for the evening, so they can change out of their ski clothes (especially if it’s warm)
• Sun hat
• Sun cream
• A packed lunch
• Lots of water
