DESCRIPTION:The theme for this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week is This is my Place. \n  \nThat means feeling like you’re part of something\, such as your family\, your school\, your group of friends or a team. These happy moments help us feel connected\, valued\, and accepted. When we feel like we belong\, we feel happy\, safe\, and ready to learn and play. It helps us grow strong in our minds and bodies\, and it makes it easier to make friends\, do well in school\, and feel good about ourselves. \nDuring Children’s Mental Health Week\, we’ll be talking about how we can help everyone feel like they belong. We will share This is my Place so we can learn from each other what makes us feel happy. We’ll learn how to be kind\, include others\, and make sure no one feels left out.Because everyone deserves to feel like they have a place where they are accepted\, cared for\, and loved. \n					\n									https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/\n					 \nDress to Express DayFriday 13 February \nOn Friday 13 February\, children in Years 1 to 6 are invited to come to school in non-school uniform to dress to express. The focus is simply on self expression. \n																\n															 \nGet creative with an arty activity \nOur art activity encourages children to explore their sense of belonging by creating a personal map.

SUMMARY:PTA Sponsored Flip-a-thon
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that the PTA Sponsored Flip-a-thon will be taking place on Tuesday 10th February! \nEach year group will take part together\, and every child will have one minute to see how many successful pancake tosses they can complete. It promises to be a fun\, energetic fundraiser and a brilliant way to get everyone involved. \n Date: Tuesday 10th February\n Location: School Hall \nChildren will take part during the school day with their class and all equipment will be provided.  Funds raised will go directly towards supporting school projects and enriching opportunities for all pupils. \nSponsorship forms will be sent home\, so please check your child’s bag.  The deadline for collecting sponsorship and returning all forms and money (in a sealed envelope with your child’s name and class on) is Friday 27th February. \nThank you\, as always\, for your support. DESCRIPTION:Towers and Turrets Day is an extremely exciting day whereby children come into school dressed up as something related to our learning about castles. In the past we have had dragons\, knights\, princesses\, kings and queens! \nThe date for our ‘Towers and Turrets Day’ will be Friday 13th February. \nPlease can your child come to school in their costumes that day. They will be going outside for break and lunch as normal so they will also need to bring a suitable coat and alternative outdoor shoes (if needed).

SUMMARY:Dress to Express Day
DESCRIPTION:As part of our Children’s Mental Health Week activities\, we will be taking part in Dress to Express Day on Friday 13 February. \nOn Friday 13 February\, children in Years 1 to 6 are invited to come to school in non-school uniform to dress to express. This could be through colours\, patterns\, favourite clothes\, or outfits that help them feel happy\, confident\, or comfortable. There is no pressure to dress up in any particular way. The focus is simply on self expression. \nReception children will be taking part in their planned Towers and Turrets Day on Friday 13 February and will therefore not be joining Dress to Express. \nThroughout the week\, all children will be learning about mental health and wellbeing. We will be encouraging them to talk about their feelings\, recognise emotions\, and understand the importance of looking after their mental health\, just as we do our physical health. \nThank you for your continued support in helping us promote positive mental health and wellbeing within our school community.
