Warden Hill Primary School Cheltenham

Harvest Festival

In a few weeks’ time, we will once again be holding a harvest celebration at school where our children will come together to celebrate this time of year and give thanks for what we have.

As part of this event the children will be sharing harvest themed songs and poems with one another, with every child taking part in the celebration.

As this is a school-wide celebration, we are unable to accommodate parents at the event, however, we will be sharing a video and photos on the website afterwards.

As part of this event, we would love for our school community to come together in support of the Lakeside Community Project, a local foodbank.
We understand that this remains a challenging time for many families and foodbanks nationwide are increasingly relied upon by many members of our local community.
A representative of the Lakeside Community Project will be joining us for the event, too.
If you are able to support the foodbank, we ask that your child brings a donation of food to school that can be passed on to the Lakeside Community Project.

The Lakeside Community Project have asked for us to collect any ‘ambient food’ – essentially anything that can be stored at room temperature and has a reasonable shelf life (i.e. not fresh fruit or vegetables).

Examples of products that might be suitable could be:

  • tinned goods including meat/fish,
  • pasta,
  • cereals,
  • biscuits,
  • savoury snacks etc.

Our celebration event will take place on Monday 14th October and children are welcome to bring donations to school from Wednesday 7th October until the Monday, when all of the donations will be collected by the team at the foodbank.

Thank you in advance for your support; hopefully our school community can really make a difference.
