In the week of 4th July, 10 fabulous year 6 children gave half an hour of their time to our wonderful year 1 children to listen to them read. And I was one of them.
The idea behind the sessions was to ensure that our children are having lots of opportunities to practice their reading. The year 6 children were able to help them with word pronunciation and word meaning, ultimately helping the year 1 children in their learning.
The Year 1 children gave their best attitude towards us and we helped in the best way we could in the time that we had.
