New School is marked with a Steel Signing event as construction gets underway
On Wednesday 23rd March E G Carter & Co Ltd were joined by representatives from Gloucestershire County Council, Roberts Limbrick Architects and members of staff of Warden Hill Primary School as each child penned a message onto the steel frame of their new school.
The event gave a chance for every child, teacher, governor and member of the design & construction team to write a heartfelt message that will forever sit on the roof of the new steel frame.
Thomas Jones, Director at E G Carter & Co Ltd said “We are delighted to be able to celebrate this significant milestone at Warden Hill Primary School, Cheltenham. To see the steel frame erected is very exciting, as we can all now see the building start to take shape. This event is a great way to acknowledge this phase of the project.”
Marketing Manager, Alexandra Dawkins from Roberts Limbrick said “It was fantastic to see both pupils and staff so engaged with the new school which is quickly taking shape. Signing the steelwork is a great way for the children to make their mark on the new building. We couldn’t resist joining in and signing a beam too!”
The new school on Durham Close is due to complete in December 2022 and will allow the school to have a more spacious and modern facility for their children.
