Warden Hill Primary School Cheltenham

Tag Rugby Festival

On Wednesday 22 March, Warden Hill took 3 teams to compete in the annual Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Tag Rugby Festival at Newlands Park along with 40+ other teams from across the county.

All 3 teams were incredibly successful across the day with outstanding team, and individual, performances. The focus of the festival is to encourage the demonstration of the ‘core values’ associated to Tag Rugby. These include determination, sportsmanship and self-belief. We are incredibly proud of how well our players performed and conducted themselves throughout the course of the day.

Our success however,  did not end on the field: we were awarded the overall trophy by the Hartpury College referees, being named as the school who consistently demonstrated the core values throughout and this was presented to our team at the end of the day.

It was a great day and we want to thank the players for representing our school to such a high standard.

We would also like to thank parents for their support with transporting players, cheering the teams on and making this day possible.
