Year 6 had a fantastic time at the Cheltenham Literature Festival watching Christopher Edge.
We have been gripped by one of his early novels ‘The Infinite Lives of Maisie Day’ throughout our whole class reading sessions. Having finished it in the last few days, the children were really excited to hear all about ‘The Black Hole Cinema Club.’
He had the children gripped throughout, with lots of interactive spy-based challenges including one completed by our own Edward, Jamie and Ethan.
Inspired by films – particularly spy and action films – the book summary is below, if anyone would like to get themselves a copy!
Five friends find themselves sucked into the screen to become part of the 4D interactive film they were hoping to watch at the Black Hole Cinema club – so-named due to a spelling error.
The friends have to complete a mission to find their way out of the film, but to do that they have to work out what the mission is!
