School Council and Eco Warriors Summer Term Elections

We are inviting children in Years 1–6 to stand for their class’s School Council and Eco Warrior representative positions for the Summer Term.

For information about the roles and responsibilities of these positions, please read the KS1 and KS2 job descriptions which can be found below.

Last year, we introduced a system to enable more children to take on these roles during their time at Warden Hill.

Your child will only be able to stand once for each role in Years 1–2, Years 3–4, and Years 5–6. Therefore, if your child is in Year 2, Year 4, or Year 6, and was elected as an Eco Warrior or School Council representative in the Autumn term, Spring term or last year, they will not be able to stand again for the same role this academic year.

Children need to inform their teacher by Wednesday 22nd April if they wish to stand. Elections will take place on Friday 24th April.

Children must have prepared something in advance and bring it with them on voting day in order to stand.

Years 1–2
Children need to draw a picture or make a poster to present to their class.

Years 3–6
Children need to create a short verbal presentation (no PowerPoints). They may use props such as posters or pictures, but nothing should be handed out to the class.

Parents are welcome to support their children in preparing, but all posters and presentations must be the children’s own work.

Good luck to all candidates!
