This year is all about responsibility and leadership. From becoming House and Sports Captains to taking on roles as Sports Leaders, our pupils model teamwork, resilience and enthusiasm. They support younger children in sporting activities and represent their houses in inter-house competitions, helping to build a strong, inclusive school community.
We offer a broad and enriching curriculum that inspires curiosity and creativity across all subjects. Each day includes a class read, carefully chosen to reflect a diverse range of characters and experiences—helping every child feel seen, valued and connected through the power of story.
Year 6 also enjoy a wide range of exciting opportunities that stretch their skills and spark their passions:
- Competing in school sports teams
- Taking part in wildlife and general knowledge quizzes
- Leading our Remembrance Service with dignity and respect
- Attending our exciting PGL residential trip
- Performing in our unforgettable end-of-year production
Through these experiences, children grow in confidence and develop a deep sense of belonging. We encourage them to explore new challenges and succeed through effort, curiosity and collaboration. By the end of Year 6, our pupils are not only academically prepared for secondary school – they are well-rounded individuals ready to take on the world.
