The Governing Body oversees the school’s management and aims to ensure that all children at the school get the best possible education and are able to make the most of all the opportunities that come their way.
Each month one of the Governors will make themselves available and will come into the school to find out how things are going, visit at least one class, chat with staff and parents and answer any questions relating to the school.

Welcome from the Chair
On behalf of the Governing Body, I am delighted to welcome you and your children to the school.
As governors, our primary role is strategic rather than operational. While Mrs Flooks and the dedicated staff team manage the day-to-day running of the school, the Governing Body works behind the scenes to provide support, oversight, and strategic direction.
Our goal is to ensure that every child feels safe, secure and fully included in school life; receives a broad and rich curriculum delivered using the best, evidence-based teaching practices; and is encouraged, supported and inspired to achieve their full potential.
Our core responsibilities include:
- Strategic Direction: Setting the school’s vision, values and long-term improvement goals and agreeing policies designed to underpin their achievement.
- Accountability: Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the school and holding it to account for delivering on the high targets set by the Senior Leadership Team.
- Financial Stewardship: Overseeing the school’s financial performance to make sure resources are allocated efficiently and spent wisely.
We are incredibly proud of the diverse talents and dedication of our staff team, and we firmly believe that a child’s education thrives best on a strong partnership between home and school. Your involvement, support, and feedback are vital as we work together to ensure the school continues to be a vibrant place of learning and growth.
