The Children’s Booker Prize have launched a UK-wide competition to find three child judges to select the winner of the Children’s Booker Prize 2027.

The Children’s Booker Prize is a brand-new prize celebrating the best fiction books for children aged 8 to 12 years old. We are looking for the most inspiring, exciting, imaginative and adventurous stories, and we want children to help us find them.
We are looking for children who can show they are:
- enthusiastic about being a judge
- passionate about stories and reading
- willing to read lots of different types of books
- able talk to others about books
- happy to listen to others
- Imaginative and curious about the world
