What a wonderful Red Nose Day! It was fantastic to see all the children and teachers ‘taking themselves funny for money’ with their hilarious hairstyles.
A special thank you to everyone who donated cakes – we thoroughly enjoyed our cake sales.
We are delighted to share that we raised an amazing total of £639.
We are excited to be celebrating Red Nose Day on Friday 20 March.
This year’s theme is “Take Yourself Funny for Money”, and we are looking forward to a fun-filled day of laughter whilst raising money for a fantastic cause.
The School Council have decided that this year we will celebrate by taking part in a Funny Hair Day and holding a cake sale to raise as much money as we can.
Funny Hair Day
Children are invited to come to school wearing a funny hairstyle for the day. They might like to:
- Style their hair into a crazy or spiky look
- Add colourful (washable) hair spray
- Create a wacky plait or unusual bunches
- Use hair accessories in a silly way
- Design a deliberately messy “just got out of bed” look
We can’t wait to see their creative ideas!
Cake Sale
We are asking each child to please bring in a maximum of six cupcakes or biscuits to sell at the cake sale.
Important reminders:
- We are a no-nuts school, so please ensure that all cakes are completely nut-free.
- Cakes should be brought into classrooms on Friday morning.
- Children should bring 50p for one cake/biscuit or £1 for two cakes/biscuits to purchase items at break time.
Cakes will also be available for parents to purchase after school.
We will provide a selection of shop-bought free-from cakes so that children with allergies are able to take part safely.
Thank you for your continued support — we are sure it will be a fantastic day for everyone!
