PSHE

At Warden Hill Primary School, our PSHE curriculum, strives to ensure that every pupil feels part of a caring community, is encouraged to discover their unique strengths, and is supported to achieve their very best, which supports our vision of ‘Unlocking the potential in every child.’

Our PSHE curriculum is rooted in our school values:

Belong
We aim to create a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and respected. We strive for our children to develop a strong sense of identity and belonging within their school, community, and wider society and through positive relationships to learn empathy, kindness, and the importance of celebrating diversity.

Explore
We encourage our pupils to ask questions, challenge ideas, and explore the world around them with curiosity and confidence. In our lessons, the children will gain knowledge and skills to understand themselves, others, and the wider world, including health, wellbeing, and citizenship. Through this exploration we hope it will foster resilience, adaptability, and the ability to make informed choices in a changing society.

Succeed
Our curriculum empowers our children to set goals, persevere, and achieve their personal best. We endeavour to build confidence and independence in them so that they will be prepared to thrive in future learning and life experiences.
Our aim is that the curriculum equips children with the knowledge, skills, and values they need to lead healthy, safe, and fulfilling lives, while preparing them to be responsible, resilient, and respectful members of society.
