PTA Fireworks
7 November 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm
This event is now sold out and entry will be by wristband only. All wristbands have now been sent home in children’s book bags/rucksacks so please check if you haven’t already found them.
The gates to the viewing area will open at 5.30pm and the display will start at 6.30pm
As well as the amazing fireworks display, there will also be some tasty food vendors (Pizza Nostra with their wood fired pizza oven & Tonbo Japanese Kitchen), a bar with both hot (Mulled Wine and Hot Chocolate) and cold drinks (alcoholic and soft drinks) and of course some colourful UV Glow items for sale (these will be reusable items not single use). We are trying to encourage cashless transactions, but if you do bring cash, please ensure that you have change.
Please fill the whole viewing area to enable the best experience for all. All the fireworks will be aerial ones, no Catherine Wheels or ground based ones, so you will be able to see from wherever you stand.
Safety Information
Please take time to look at the Site Plan below which shows where everything will be located including; the First Aid area and Toilet in reception, the entry and exit routes, and what to do in the highly unlikely event of an emergency. If there is an emergency and we need to clear the site as quickly and calmly as possible a bell will ring continuously and all spectors will be directed by the Marshalls to leave by the exit route closest to them. This will be either via the side entrance you came in, or as per the usual end of day routine, both of which are marked on the site plan.
Durham Close and the School Car Park will be out of bounds (except for residents and disabled Blue Badge holders) between the hours of 5.00pm – 7.30pm to ensure the safety of the 650 spectators and volunteers working at the event. Feel free to park in the surrounding streets, but please be respectful of our neighbours, and we encourage people to walk where possible. If you are volunteering, a member of staff or disabled and need to park in the car park, then you will need to be on site by 5pm, and will not be able to move your car until 7.30pm. Please don’t park in the No Parking areas shown on the Site Plan or where the food vendors will be sited.
The school will be lit, but we do recommend that someone in your group brings a torch.
All children must be supervised at all times for the safety and enjoyment of all. The Infant Green and ALL play equipment is strictly off limits. If any accidents occur in these areas or on the equipment it is the responsibility of the parent/responsible adult. No responsibility will be taken by the school or PTA.
When the display has finished we kindly ask that you leave the site quietly and be considerate of our neighbours.
