Dear Parents and Carers,
Schools across Gloucestershire have been contacted by Gloucestershire County Council’s Education Safeguarding Team and asked to share a reminder about the importance of keeping children safe online.
While there are currently no specific concerns involving our pupils, we know that children can sometimes encounter inappropriate or upsetting content online.
If you choose to allow your child to have a mobile phone or personal device, we strongly encourage you to regularly check their usage, discuss who they communicate with online, and ensure they know what to do if they see something that makes them feel worried or uncomfortable. Please remind them to speak to a trusted adult and not to share or forward concerning content.
To support families, we recommend revisiting our Cuppa and Connect and Well-being resources:

We are also looking forward to welcoming PC Simon Williams later this academic year, who will be working with pupils and families to further promote online safety and digital awareness.
Thank you for your continued partnership in helping to keep our children safe online.
Best wishes,
James Antonious
