We were completely overwhelmed last night.
After another huge day on the road for #Doddie800, the team arrived at Warden Hill primary School in Cheltenham expecting a gym floor and a few hours’ sleep.
Instead, the entire community has stepped up in the most incredible way.
There were camp beds set up for us, hot showers waiting, and food ready when we arrived. After cycling nearly 200 miles a day, that kindness meant more than we can say.
A special thank you to Georgina Flooks, a great friend from my Google days in Edinburgh and now the Head Teacher of Warden Hill primary School, who made this happen. The welcome and the send-off this morning were something really special.
We left with full stomachs, proper rest, and the fuel we needed to get back on the road.
Today is Day 3.
Everything hurts.
But we keep pedalling.
Tonight we aim to reach Pembroke, where we’ll catch the ferry as the journey continues towards Dublin.
We’re now £7,000 away from our £27,000 target, and we would love to reach that before we arrive in Dublin.
