KS1 Author Visit: Sam Usher and Bookwagon pop-up bookstore

We are delighted to share that Sam Usher will be visiting our school on Monday 29th June. Sam Usher is an award-winning author and illustrator of children’s picture books, best known for his beautifully illustrated seasonal stories about a boy and his grandfather, including Snow, Rain and Sun.

Bronnie and Bob from The Bookwagon will also be visiting our school that day for another brilliant pop-up bookshop. They will be leading assemblies and talking all things books with our children!

Bookwagon gives us an opportunity to pre-order books with 25% discount. See the below for links and full information.

Sam Usher

Sam Usher graduated from the University of West England and his debut picture book Can You See Sassoon? was shortlisted for the Waterstones Prize and the Red House Children’s Book Award. He is particularly admired for his technical drawing skill and prowess with watercolour. Also a talented pianist, when he’s not holding a pen and wobbling at paper you’ll find him perfecting a fiendishly difficult piece of Chopin.
