Year 2: Nature in Art Trip

Year 2 enjoyed a fantastic day at Nature in Art, where they took part in a variety of creative and engaging activities inspired by the natural world.

The children experimented with printing techniques to create beautiful minibeast prints and made their own nature journals. These included leaf rubbings, sketches and observations of a range of natural objects, including thistles, leaves and flowers.

During the day, the children also took part in a sculpture hunt and explored the museum, discovering a wide variety of artwork inspired by nature.

We also enjoyed having a picnic on the grass whilst admiring the beautiful gardens and surrounding grounds.

A particular highlight was meeting Tracey Ward, the Artist in Residence. The children had the opportunity to ask her lots of thoughtful questions about her work and were fascinated to see some of her sculptures up close.

It was a wonderful day of creativity, exploration and learning, and the children represented the school brilliantly throughout the visit. A huge thank you to our parent helpers for giving up their time to support the trip.
