Year 5 had an exciting day at Bishop’s Wood where we pretended to be Vikings for the day. We travelled on a longship and sat together in a Viking settlement, discussing aspects of Viking life. During the day, we made our own amulets by hammering copper wire, spun wool and created clay finger pots which we got to take home. We worked as a team to build our own shelters in the woods attempting to stay dry. Even though the rain was terrible and we got very wet, we had a great time and learned lots about Viking life.
