As part of our Children’s Mental Health Week activities, we will be taking part in Dress to Express Day on Friday 13 February.
On Friday 13 February, children in Years 1 to 6 are invited to come to school in non-school uniform to dress to express. This could be through colours, patterns, favourite clothes, or outfits that help them feel happy, confident, or comfortable. There is no pressure to dress up in any particular way. The focus is simply on self expression.
Reception children will be taking part in their planned Towers and Turrets Day on Friday 13 February and will therefore not be joining Dress to Express.
Throughout the week, all children will be learning about mental health and wellbeing. We will be encouraging them to talk about their feelings, recognise emotions, and understand the importance of looking after their mental health, just as we do our physical health.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us promote positive mental health and wellbeing within our school community.
