We are really pleased to say that this year we are taking part in the Great Big School Clean, which runs from 13th – 29th March. At Warden Hill we are passionate about keeping our local area safe and litter free for us and wildlife to enjoy. The Great British Spring Clean is a national environmental campaign which takes place each year and aims to free our streets, parks and beaches of needless litter. Litter in our environment makes areas look untidy, it damages waterways and eco systems, and can injure or kill wildlife.
Eco Council will be sharing a whole school assembly with the children to tell them all about the campaign and hopefully inspire some to take part at home. Eco Council will also share important information with the children from the link below, which can be found on the Keep Britain Tidy website. The below guidance details essential information that we need to consider when litter picking to ensure we are safe.
