Our final group fixture for our girls’ football team was played on Friday and after a week of rain, it took place in tough conditions! While it was difficult to move the ball around fluidly, the team played brilliantly and scored 3 excellent goals – the highlight being the final goal rifled in by Thea after Olivia’s mazy run and incisive pass.
This will likely be our final fixture this year, having gone undefeated in our group phase with a 1-1 draw against Leckhampton, a battling 0-0 at Greatfield and Friday’s 3-1 win against St. James. With a team made up of lots of children who will still be with us in September, things are looking good for a competitive season next year!
