We can’t wait until we’re all back together! Stay safe and we’ll see you soon 🙂

Chloë Inkpen Visit

The infants were delighted to welcome the author Chloë Inkpen to school on Friday. She retold a selection of her stories and involved the children when creating illustrations for her characters. They  were extremely excited to meet her and loved taking part in the re-telling of her stories, as well as asking Chloë lots of questions about being an author. An inspirational day was had by all.

Take One Book Week

Monday 9 March – Friday 13 March

Take One Book Week is back at Warden Hill. The purpose of this week is to allow the children to explore and delve deeper into a novel, chosen carefully by teachers, that allows for rich and inspiring learning across the curriculum. The chosen novel will also inspire other areas of the curriculum ensuring that the children produce high quality outcomes in many subject areas.

Feet First Dance Festival

On Tuesday 3rd March, our Year 6 Dance Club performed in the Feet First Festival at Cheltenham Town Hall. It was a fantastic day filled with many styles of dance from lots of different schools. The Year 6s did Warden Hill proud as they put all of their efforts into their performance, working as a great team and dancing their socks off!

Thank you girls and boys for your confidence, enthusiasm and pure ability. It was an absolute joy to work with you all this year on your performance.
You were incredible!

World Book Day Celebrations

During this year’s World Book Day our children were taken on a wonderful journey into the world of inspiring biography series: Little People, Big Dreams by Isabel Sanchez Vegara. Each class has spent the day exploring different person using book as their inspiration.

Children have discovered the lives of outstanding people, from designers and artists to scientists. All of them achieved incredible things, yet each began life as a child with a dream. Told as a story, with a facts and photos section at the back, this best-selling series celebrates triumph over adversity through some of history’s favourite characters.
